Same thing happened when we bought our first home in Colorado , we put in an offer without even seeing it in person yet. Because of this there are many more jobs and positions available for residents of the state. The towns are getting bigger and bigger with more infrastructure and less nature. With more people comes more crowds and traffic to contend. This also means an increase of trash, pollution, and longer commutes. In each city that we have lived in along the Front Range, we were able to slip right in and feel welcomed.

One thing to note though is that as the state continues to grow, locals are not always kind to transplants. The main reason though is that they simply want you to help take care of their beloved state. And do not want to see it destroyed by troves of misuse.
