I like the Xivilai and the Dremora Lord. I seem to favor the Dremora Lord a bit more. The Lich always dies way too easily. So it's almost never worth it to me. After hearing everyone talk about how great the Clannfear is and trying it out I have to agree it is pretty good. Very aggressive and quick but still a bit too fragile at high levels.
I prefer the Dremora Lord also since he tends to eliminate things than just plain weaken them for me. I'm boring. They like to use silence spells that have big target areas so when he starts casting you want to get out of the way, lol.
User Info: Tmk. I like the ones mentioned, but prefer the storm atronach to the frost. I've usually found Stormy to be more aggressive than Frosty. Unfortunately neither's aggression can match Flamesy, but Flamesy is too weak to hold her own later on.
If gloom wraiths you summoned came with a sword, it'd help. Clannfears are just awesome. They're fast and they're aggressive and have higher reflect damage than atronachs. Dremora Lord is one mean SOB. But he's not very overpowering. He seems like a good middle of the road choice though. But I imagine at lower levels before some enemies begin becoming overly healthy, this isn't an issue. Skeleton Champion is actually pretty good at holding its own I've found, but probably is more like a Dremora Lord-lite.
Summons I think you should stay away from, well Honestly, the most powerful thing spider daedra have going for them is that they can heal, and summon spiderlings The Lich is the absolute wildcard of them all though. If you get one with a staff like Staff of Thunderbolts, then he'll tear everything apart.
Install Steam. Store Page. This seems like a cool spell, only downside is that the Lich Seems too dumb to kill anything. I tested him to see how he fares against other Undead Summons and seems like Skeleton Guardian and Both Wraiths do a better job, even tho they are a lower level summon.

Like most Dragon Priests throughout Skyrim and Solstheim, Miraak is a very capable mage, able to cast powerful lightning bolts, generate wards, and use healing spells. He will also make use of his own personal staff that allows him to summon fields of writhing tentacles that can cause severe poison damage.
